Maryam Aurangzaib funny video with fan where he tried to touch her after press conference should be taken in a lighter mode. We should also applaud her for remaining composed and graceful after the it and not getting the guy beaten as he clearly seems disoriented and down-trodden.
As usual the PTI trolls are targeting Maryam for this video and just making fun of her and hurling abuses, which is quite unfortunate as we paint everything dark and nefarious in our political enmity and don’t see the lighter side. The poor guy interrupted her after the press conference in open in front of media and requested her that sister could I have a photo with you please? To which she generously agreed. He came closer and tried to put his arm around her to which she gracefully side-stepped and then her escorts shooed the guy away. That’s all there is to this.
This man must be very ghairatmand for women at home and did not think for sec before touching a woman outside. Though she is political figure, still she is a woman and deserve respect being a woman. But then on second thoughts after looking at that guy it seems that he is not really in his senses and a simpleton who thinks that he would get something really big achieved by having a photo with a political figure.
Some ladies are not happy out there and they ask, “Would this hypocrite tolerate if any other man tries to give respect to his women in the same manner?” But then what about the PTI trolls on social media who are putting out photos of Maryam Aurangzaib with Hanif Abbassi and others? Most of them look photo-shopped. I really am saddened to see what our people have come to in their blind hatred.
Some people have also aired and raised security related questions. One of my friend said that they they don’t agree with her politics but boy that was dangerous. She is too high profile and important member of the opposition to have such lax security. She must ensure that her safety is paramount whilst out and about. In the current political situation of Pakistan that is a very valid concern.
