Federal govt giving ample funds for uplift of Sindh: Haleem Adil

Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) vice president and the leader of opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that the federal government was giving ample funds for development of Sindh and the visit of Prime Minister Imran Khan to Sukkur city on Friday would unveil a package for Sindh. Addressing a news conference at IBA Sukkur, flanked by PTI Sukkur region Syed Tahir Shah, general secretary Mubin Jatoi, Dr Abbas Papu Chachar, Amir Abro and others he said that the federal government gave Sindh government Rs 60billion during trying times.

He said Ihsas cash fund money under Ehsas Qifalat Programe was still being distributed. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan would announce a Sindh package in Sukkur and he would also visit Karachi. He said federal minister Asad Umar had visited different areas and he was visiting Sindh for mega projects. Mr. Sheikh said the federal government is going to give the people of Sindh what they were not given by Sindh government during the last 13 years. He said Rs600 Crore had already been spent in district Matiari but these funds had not yet been seen. He said such funding was also present in all other districts of the province. Haleem Adil said that in Sindh jobless youth were being given loans up to Rs1million.

He said cash assistance was being given to 1.9 million beneficiaries of Ehsas Emergency Cash Program. He said two installments of Rs 6000 crore were being paid in one go. He said the federal government had given a package of Rs 60billion to the masses through utility stores. He said he would like to ask the government of Sindh what it had done for poor masses. He said the corruption mafia got CNICs from poor masses in the name of ration and tractors were obtained on these cards on cheap rates and sold in Punjab on higher rates. He said this landmark corruption was also done by the Omni Group. He said a reference was being filed in that regard. He said they would take in confidence all stakeholders and would give maximum relief to the public. The PTI leader said billions were spent in Sukkur but still heaps of garbage were present everywhere in the city adding he said funds of billions of rupees were spent on the improvement of the irrigation department but only some favorite families were benefited.

He said the people of Sukkur would welcome Imran Khan on his arrival today ( Friday) . He said during the last 13 years Rs 7880billion came to Sindh, but no development is seen in Sindh anywhere. He said P&D department has given a report that out of Rs700 billion uplift budget Rs 600billion were actually spent and out of them Rs267 billion went to the pockets of the corrupt people and mafias. He said that they would launch the mega projects for the benefit of people only adding he said Sindh was the province which had first passed the resolution seeking the creation of Pakistan He said 65percent revenue was generated from Sindh but still Karachi was a Katchra Kundi. He said 70 percent of Sindh people were forced to drink contaminated water and thus were prone to deadly diseases.

He said measles, AIDS, hepatitis and other diseases were spreading fast in Sindh. He said the Sain government had stopped the children vaccination project and for the last 8 months no vaccination was being carried out in the province. The opposition leader said that lawlessness was on the steep rise in Sindh after the 2019 Police Order. He said all policing powers were now actually with the CM House. He said SHOs are posted on demand of PPP local leaders and SSPs on demand of PPP ministers. He said Sindh police is serving political people and they have no concern for the poor masses.

He said after the comments of Justice Gorar, now corruption is even made in dog killing funds. He said Sindh was the province with the highest number of dog bite cases. He said Rs 92 Crore were devoured in the name of castration of dogs. He said the rulers of Sindh were hurling threats to judges who pronounced verdicts against them. for their corrupt practices Mr Sheikh said if the opposition and journalist community raise voice against rulers their voice was being muzzled. He said he wanted to be booked in false cases in every district so that he could go there and meet with the public there. government hospitals.
