I am not sure what Shariah says about women to have compulsory male companion during Hajj but Saudi government has changed the Mahram Hajj 2021 policy where Saudi Arabian government has allowed women without male companion to perform the Hajj. More information on Hajj 2021 official policy can be obtained from here. localhaj.haj.gov.sa has tweeted about it too.
Now there is a massive confusion in Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and other Muslim countries. Muslims in US, UKA, Australia and other parts of the world also wondering about this policy as how women can register for Hajj without Mahram and what are the conditions around it. People are also asking that who come this centuries old policy has been changed and is there any fatwa around it and what happened out there because this is quite unlike ultra-conservative Saudi government.
Hajj is not allowed in Islam without Mehram. But because liberalism is on the rise in Saudi Arabia, and because of the distance to Islam, all this is happening, and many things are becoming non Islamic. I want to ask because you said the start for booking of packages will start on dhul qiddah 15? May I ask until when is the last day of payment for hajj? Packages are Highly expensive, it’s very difficult to pay such an huge amount, people like us who has basic pay of 2200 per month, it’s very very difficult to pay and perform. Saddened looking at Packages cost.
