Must do that, as per Supreme court larger bench decision in PLD 52 of 1993, PEC act doesn’t apply on Govt employees and BTech Applied Engineers and Engr Moula Bux appeal to abolish the quota for B Tech Engineers promotion dismissed. PM should intervene and make sure that Supreme Court Landmark Judgement In Maula Bux Case bench implemented and no non engineers (diploma & btech) be posted against engineering position.
To destroy a country give authority to the undeserving and unqualified, the country will crumble. Posting diploma holders and B.tech technicians on Engineering posts is a recipe for disaster. Implement pec act in letter & spirit and keep in mind the nation. Applied Engineers/technology graduates are still unable to present their services for the betterment of Pak due to worst policy of PEC ACT. kindly make joint commission which regulate Both Engg and Tech Edu in country like PMDC.
According to PEC act, only PEC registered engineer is eligible to work on the post of SDO/AE. Diploma Holders are not eligible. Govt Should Implement PEC Act all over Pakistan & must remove Technologists & Diploma holder from engineering post. Please PEC you should do for the betterment of Engineers.
PEC act 1976 must be implemented in true meaning. Technologists does not hold any degree as per the PEC act 1976 and reconfirmed by the supreme court. Pakistan Engineering Council is a statutory body, constituted under the PEC Act 1976 (V of 1976) amended upto 24th January 2011, to regulate the engineering profession.
