He doesn’t put in any tomato or paste and doesn’t even use onions. All he does is use the juice of meat itself and then if you want to eat Karahi, he makes it live in front of you in desi ghee which is very very refreshing and out of this world. Afzal doesn’t uses any other meat or recipe as he believes in quality.

The prices of tikka in Rawalpindi are way high as we all know. Even the cheap ones are in hundreds and if you want to eat properly then the bill is in thousands at every place. Even the mediocre stalls charge you more than 1000 rupees for a dozen and that’s just a start. But Afzal tikka shop prices are very low. He just charges Rs. 500 both for tikka and kebab and you just pay extra for bread and his special chutnee is free which is also a treat to the taste buds. It also helps you in digestion and adds a unique flavour.

It’s a must eat in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. They have their unique style of bbq and the taste is incredible. Really tasty and spicy beef Tikka and kabab fry. Needs better sitting arrangements, but then tikka lovers don’t care, as they are too engrossed in the tikka galore. Then Imran Khan sb should file a case in the court and should be proved wrong. It seems that Sohail Warraich has touched some taboo topics in Pakistan and people in power are not liking that. We all know that the PTI has short temper and they don’t like criticism so they have started banning this book.

I have heard that all the copies of his book have been confiscated by raiding the publisher. These are probably the columns that have been published in the newspaper. The object will be on the title. Regardless of this book, which I really don’t care about as I don’t trust the writer, I think this is just a sham and a publicity stunt. I won’t be spending my hard earned money on this book as this is just load of lies.

The authorities of DHA has been working on all the issues that are being addressed by the residents after the heavy rain. In this meeting all participants are making use of this platform for candid expression of their grievances and communicating in detail problems being faced by the residents, especially those whose houses still remain inundated by the rain water.

Good place to shop for a Qurbani this year. Nice place but prices are very high. Shahpur kanjra cattle market is one of the largest cattle markets in Pakistan. Famous for buying all categories of animals i.e. cattle, cow, buffalo, bull, goat, sheep and dumba. The quality is good as these animals are from rural Punjab but the prices are steep and not predictable and there is no control. You won’t see an single official there.

During the Shahbaz Sharif era of few years back, Lahore government made sure that they selected an open ground for the animals and made sure to keep it clean. There were heavy fines for the sellers if they made a mess and didn’t clean after their animals. I also remember them fighting with the officials  but officials were stern and maintained good hygiene and other order as Dengue virus was very common in those days.

Sadly I don’t see that this year as sellers of cows and goats are roaming around the city.
